My thoughts: Ahhh the memories of my twin Sister & I sitting on a blanket in our backyard with the Boom-Box listening to Bon Jovi's 1st cassette tape in the early/mid 80's...Nothing can take away those moments of escape away, That's what I love about that era, No matter how old ya get, You still remember those days that only come back when you hear there music Not on the radio, Now on my Sirius satellite, LOL !!!

Hinder...

Hinder
"What ya Gonna Do"

This countrified ballad is the second single from Oklahoma rock band Hinder's third studio album, All American Nightmare. Singer Austin Winkler explained the song's meaning to Hardrock Haven: "It's kind of a struggle instead of facing my problems sometimes I will drown them in a bottle of wine or whiskey. One of these days it is not going to work and I will just have to face them. I think a lot of people can kind of relate." -Songfacts.com

My thoughts: I remember when I 1st heard Hinder's song "Lip's of an angel"..At the time I was single & going through some personal relationship issues & Immediately fell in love with the song. That's when I began to follow the band. Many people I'm sure as myself can relate to the lyrics in their songs~

Seether...

Artist/Video of the day...
Seether

In early 2009, a new song titled "No Shelter" was featured on the NCIS Official TV Soundtrack, released on 10 February. Also, a cover of Wham's "Careless Whisper" was made available for purchase as a digital or mobile download. The song was reportedly covered as a joke. Wind-up approached Seether to do a song for Valentine's Day, so, as a joke, they turned a "Cheesy 80s pop ballad" into a Hard Rock/Metal song. "Careless Whisper" has gotten Seether lots of publicity. The music video for "Careless Whisper" premiered on 15 June 2009, and the song can be found as an additional track on the reissue of Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces. -Wikipedia

My Birthday Pic Of The Day...
Axl Rose

Axl Rose, lead singer of the all-American hard rockers Guns N' Roses, hits the half-century mark today. Let's celebrate by aiming the hairspray can at THAT birthday cake.
It's hard to argue against Rose's place among rock's biggest success stories of the '80s and '90s. His voice and stage presence were a big arena rock middle finger to dance and pop music. And love him or hate him for it, Rose and his band gave some an antidote to the grunge movement and a moping class of Northwest rockers.
Think back on MTV and remember the distinctive voice of megahits like "Sweet Child o' Mine" and "Welcome to the Jungle." "Axl sings the most beautiful melodies with the most aggressive tones and the most outrageous, freakish range," Skid Row's Sebastian Bach told Rolling Stone in 2008.
And who could forget Rose's skinny blond frame doing that trademark shoulder shuffle dance? It was like a moonwalk for mallrats. By Kurt Schlosser entertainment.msnbc.msn.com

Time for some fun, Can you guess what Song & Artist these Lyrics belong too?
Stormy night under jet black skies, Billy pulls into town
the thunder rolled and the lightning bolts come crashin' to the ground
Cold as ice, hard as stone, as he walks into the room
With another man who was feeling the same way, all hell's breakin' loose

Happy Groundhog day...

Shinedown
"Bully"

Shinedown have released a lyric video for the song ‘Bully,’ the first single off the band’s recently announced upcoming album ‘Amaryllis,’ which is due out March 27.
Frontman Brent Smith says that the new disc ‘Amaryllis’ is all about “empowerment, perseverance and inspiration” and the new single does indeed send a message of strength.
The song is a powerful anthem that addresses bullies with a chorus that belts out the lyrics, “All you’ll ever be is a fading memory of a bully / Make another joke / While they hang another rope / So lonely / Push them to the dirt / Till the words don’t hurt / Can you hear me / No one’s gonna cry / On the day you die / You’re a bully.
‘Amaryllis’ is Shinedown’s first album in three years since ‘The Sound of Madness.’ The band got together once again with producer Rob Cavallo, who also produced their 2008 release. ‘Bully’ just might be another radio hit to add onto Shinedown’s numerous successful singles. -Loudwire.com
