Jake E Lee...

"Happy 54th Birthday"
Jake E Lee

Jake E. Lee was encouraged by his mother to take classical piano lessons as a child. With a lack of interest in piano, 13 year old Lee found that he enjoyed playing his older sister's guitar. His older sister influenced his desire to play by introducing him to some old Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin records. The first song he learned was "No Time" by The Guess Who. From there, he used what formal training he had from piano, along with a Mel Bay guitar method book and concentrated on becoming a self taught, rock guitarist. Obviously catching on and quickly developing a talent for the guitar, Lee played in several high school bands. And so, teenaged Jake E. Lee was already turning heads and wowing fellow San Diego musicians with his impressive style of playing. -Wikipedia.com

My Thoughts: A legend in his own right, Jake E Lee is one of the greats.
From playing with Ozzy Osbourne in the late 1980's to the forming of his own band 'Badlands" with former singer Ray Gillen from the band Black Sabbath...Jake in my eyes has an amazing talent and will be remembered for his awesome guitar work for many many years to come. Keep on Rocking man~

Whitesnake...

Whitesnake...
"Is This Love"

The song is taken from their self-titled album, which released in 1987.
The song was written by vocalist David Coverdale and guitarist John Sykes during the albums early writing process (which took place in the south of France), but it was long rumoured that the song had originally been written for pop artist Tina Turner. Coverdale confirmed these rumours in the booklet of Whitesnake's 20th anniversary edition, by saying:
"Before I'd left for the south of France a friend at EMI had asked me for any ideas that would work for Tina Turner. So that was where the original idea for 'Is This Love' came from."
"Is This Love" became one of the most popular Whitesnake songs. The song reached #87 on VH1's "100 Greatest Love Songs"-list and #10 on their list of "Greatest Power Ballads". -Wikipedia.com

My Thoughts: One of my favs from them, It's a classic for me...This song is great to listen to when you want to relive the memories of when Mtv actually played rock videos, It's a very powerful ballad that stands the test of time. And of course It featured David Coverdale's hot Girlfriend who was every young man's and maybe a couple ladies fantasy rock chick actress/model and Coverdale girlfriend Tawny Kitaen~

Bullet For My Valentine..."Happy V Day"

Bullet For My Valentine...

"Hearts Burst Into Fire"

The song was released as the second single from their second album, Scream Aim Fire. The song is featured in the video game NHL 09. Unlike many of the band's songs, the song is played in a major key. The video of the song is a montage of clips from the tour accompanying the album. It features many fans displaying support for the band, many of whom display logos and tattoos featuring song names and lyrics by the band. Wikipedia.com

My Thoughts: This is the 1st song I heard from these guys, Instantly liked their sound.

Saliva...

Saliva
"Always"

"Always" is the first single off the album Back into Your System by alternative metal band Saliva. It made it to #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks for one week in February 2003, and has been Saliva's most successful hit.
The music video for "Always" focuses on a young man who appears to be haunted by a woman of his past, sporadically appearing throughout town. The video ends with the man, enraged with emotion, destroying a telephone booth before collapsing to the ground. MTV requested an edit of the lyrics in the final verse. The line "the pistol shaking in my hand, and all I can hear is the sound" was edited to replace the word "pistol" with "anger" in the video version. Also, this song was played on Music Choice Television.
"Always" was the theme song for WWE's Survivor Series Pay-per-view in November 2002.
The song is also featured in the music video game Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock as a downloadable content song. -Wikipedia.com

My Thoughts:
Saliva got my attention with the song, "Click Click Boom"....Josey Scott is an awesome singer, I love it when he does duets with other artists, Such a talent..You can definitely be assured the the Rocker will not be going away anytime soon~

My thoughts:  1st time I heard this song I was driving in my Jeep when it came on my Sirius Satellite radio station 'Octane'..fell in love with it Immediately.
As I started dancing in my seat to the beat and I knew it would become one of my favs to dance too when out & about. Of course I love that Chad Kroeger is involved in the song as well as the video, being as he found the band...and as an added extra, The great guitarist Zakk Wylde lending his talents, I was hooked~
